Welcome to Healing Reflections Therapy, where we hope to join you on your healing journey.

Deciding to go to therapy may be a difficult choice for some, especially when you know you are going to be thinking and talking about very painful memories, difficult issues and experiences from your past. It takes courage to even begin to take the first step of acknowledging that you need help and then looking into potential therapists, and for that, we commend your bravery.

Living with mental health symptoms, dealing with the isolation of never being validated or understood, or experiencing the pain of traumatic experiences can result in depression, loneliness, flashbacks, hopelessness, anxiety, shame, guilt, self-blame, problems with trust, problems with relationships, challenges with sexuality and intimacy, self-injury, and use of poor coping skills that often make your problems worse. These are often normal reactions to abnormal situations and it is important to know that you are not alone and that there is hope.

We have seen many individuals come to us who have considered counseling for years or gone decades after their initial trauma, after years of suffering. Through hard work in therapy, they finally found the peace they had been seeking for so long. While there are no guarantees in therapy, there is hope and we look forward to joining you in your journey from darkness to light.
